Unique nasal prongs design gives a more secure seal

Introducing the second generation of the CPAP interface, the Nasal-Aire II. The new unit shares many of the comfort and compliance benefits of the original Nasal-Aire, adding improved performance and a reduction in sound level. Nasal-Aire II is sold with all six sizes for easy fitting and includes optional headgear for stability.

The Nasal-Aire II Mask uses a unique nasal prongs design, rather than the regular nasal pillows. This means that rather than sitting on the perimeter of the nostril entrance, they actually sit up inside the nostril. What this means is that there is no pressure on the sensitive nostril openings, which can become uncomfortable over time with pillows, and provides a superior seal that is more robust with movement. If you know you move around in your sleep, then you will find the nasal prongs maintain their seal much better than nasal pillows, which can become dislodged.

If a traditional nasal cushion mask bothers you, develops leaks when on your side or if the usual headgear straps interfere with your hair too much, the InnoMed Nasal-Aire II is just right for you. Headgear is included but you don't have to use it as you may find the around-the-ears design offers enough stability for your sleeping patterns.

With the CPAP delivering air to the nostrils via two sturdy tubes instead of one, even when you sleep on your side, perhaps reducing airflow in one tube, you will still get the full therapeutic pressure you need as the other tube is unobstructed on the other side of your face. This makes the Nasal-Aire II suitable for side-sleepers as well as those who sleep mostly on their back.
