Machine specific (heated) humidifiers allow you to convert one specific (series of) CPAP or BiPAP machine to an integrated "wet" version. You click the humidifier, which typically consists of a heater plate and a water chamber, under, behind or next to your therapy device to benefit from humidified air entering your nose and/or mouth.
If your machine isn't listed here, these products won't work. In that case, you can pick a "standalone humidifier" which doesn't integrate fully but does work with any CPAP or BiPAP machine.
I got this with the DeVilbis Auto PAP device in Jan 2010 and the two fit and work very well together. I am a first-time user of any kind of device.
