Please follow your machine or humidifier's manual carefully with regards to cleaning procedures. Water leaks can damage electrical circuits and void warranty if the guidelines are not followed. Using the purest water you can find (distilled, bottled, filtered or at least previously boiled) is much better than regular tap water, especially in hard water areas. Humidifier chambers tend to last 9-18 months and a spare chamber is always handy to have at the ready.
I got this with the DeVilbis Auto PAP device in Jan 2010 and the two fit and work very well together. I am a first-time user of any kind of device.
