Security
As with our Privacy Policy,
Security is one of the most common concerns when ordering over the Internet.
Intus Healthcare Ltd. treat this issue very seriously and we have taken all
possible steps to ensure that personal data, including any Credit or Debit Card
numbers are transmitted using industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption.
This means that the information being sent is first encoded and then decoded when
it arrives at our servers, so that no-one can 'eavesdrop' or collect any of your
personal information whilst it is enroute.
In addition, we work directly with Bank of Scotland Merchant Services and
are happy to advise you that your full card details are not viewed by any of our staff.
They are simply transmitted via the bank's private 'X25 Network' for payment authorisation,
which normally takes less than 3 seconds. You receive further protection because
all transactions are 'Cardholder Not Present'. In other words, should someone else
have fraudulently used your card or you did not receive what you ordered and paid
for, you can justifiably claim and receive a refund if your case is proven.
Our servers sit behind a state of the art hardware firewall and the computer
that handles the card transactions is not accessible from the Internet. We have
employed the services of one of the country's leading secure transaction and
security providers, WorldPay (Bank of Scotland) to ensure that our security remains
as rigid as possible. Card details are never stored by Intus Healthcare Ltd. so they cannot get lost.
See here
to read what WorldPay themselves have to say about their security.
We have our systems regularly monitored and updated, so you are probably
safer using a Credit or Debit Card within any of the Intus Healthcare Ltd. websites,
than you are in your local high street!
Security Hint: Look for the little padlock symbol in the bottom right of
your task bar (above the clock) or browser address bar when using the shopping cart to verify that you are
on a secure server. You can verify our security status yourself by hovering over, and clicking our Secure
Site Seal. This trust seal with the big tick can be found on the right hand side of every page.
The Seal is provided by Comodo, an international security software and SSL certificate company and leader in its industry. They have
verified we are who we claim we are and guarantee this with their warranty.
