The SleepWeaver CPAP Mask is remarkably easy to fit. It is designed to inflate like a balloon, and in doing so mould to the contours of your face to provide a comfortable and tight seal. The headgear also has three adjustable straps to help you position the mask for optimum comfort, with one on either side of the interface and one on the top of the head strap. A swivel connector attaches to the hose from your CPAP or Bi-Level machine using the industry standard 22mm connector. On this page are instructions to ensure you get the ultimate comfort and seal from your SleepWeaver CPAP mask.

To fit the mask, follow these steps:

Fitting Your SleepWeaver CPAP Mask

1. Remove your SleepWeaver Advance Mask from the packaging.
2. Connect the tubing from your CPAP or Bi-Level machine to the Swivel Connector on the front of the mask.
3. Turn on your CPAP or Bi-Level machine at your prescription pressure.
4. When the mask inflates, hold the headgear with both hands, position the mask on your nose, and pull the headgear over your head. Make sure that the cup of the mask is centred over your nose, and align the Head Strap to the centre of your head, or else the mask will not sit correctly.
5. Pull the headgear over the back of your head until the Neck Strap is snug just below your ears.
6. If you experience leaks, adjust the mask as described below.
7. Lie down in your normal sleeping position. If any leaks occur, readjust the mask.

Adjusting your SleepWeaver CPAP Mask for Leaks

If you experience leaks, try the following steps:

1. With your CPAP or Bi-Level machine on and at your prescription pressure, pinch the portion of the mask directly over your nose, pull the mask slightly away from your face, towards your feet, and gently release.
2. If you experience leaks from the sides of the mask, adjust the Neck Straps by unhooking the tab from the strap and pulling the straps out to tighten the mask, then re-latching the tab to the strap.
3. If you experience leaks into your eyes, adjust the Head Strap.
4. At times it is possible to stop leaks and get a better fit by loosening the mask just a bit, then repeating Step 1.

Further advice to perfect your SleepWeaver's fit

Some users have found that they get a better seal by switching the CPAP or Bi-Level machine on after positioning the SleepWeaver mask over their nose, rather than before the interface is applied. Ensure that your nose is entirely within the fabric before turning the system on. If you are experiencing difficulties in getting a good seal, try using this method instead, before following the adjustment techniques outlined above. You may also find that using a lighter hose will help take pressure off of the mask, helping it to sit properly.

This mask doesn't leak very easily, and is very comfortable to wear. I find it very un-claustrophobic to wear compared to some other masks. Excellent ...
