Bi-Flex makes exhalation natural

The System One Resistance Control allows you to exhale easily and naturally. Every Philips Respironics mask has a number, and by putting that into the REMstar it can compensate the correct amount of pressure for the resistance that mask generates. This means you get the correct pressure that you need, whatever mask you are wearing. In addition to this, the Bi-Flex system further enhances the quality of your sleep by giving pressure relief at exhalation. The Bi-Flex System found on the BiPAP model further enhances this by softening the breathing cycle between inhalation and exhalation, giving a natural and easy breathing cycle while you sleep. The Bi-Flex setting can be adjusted to up to 1.5cm of water pressure to ensure maximum comfort.

The toggle dial system on the System One REMstar Auto BiPAP replaces the buttons found on the M-series, and provides an intuitive way of adjusting the settings as required. Patented technology ensures accurate and comfortable therapy

The key to Philips Respironics' Flex Technology is their unique and patented Digital Auto-Trak Sensitivity. It works by constantly monitering your breathing patterns and automatically responding to any abnormal pressure changes to provide effective BiPAP therapy.

Most automatic BiPAP machines adjust their pressure flows by monitoring the normal obstructive sleep apnoea signals such as AHI and flow limitations. The System One REMstar Auto BiPAP not only monitors these, but also tracks your snoring, periodic breathing and respiratory effort-related arousals (RERAs) to ensure that you are being the exact therapy you require at any given time.
