The result is a full face masks that looks and feels smaller and less intimidating, that is 20% lighter than competing masks, and has just two parts for ease of cleaning and maintenance. For those who want their therapy to be an uncomplicated as possible, the Amara is a great option.
The adaptive shape of the Amara's cushion is intelligently designed to fit as many people as possible. Respironics' research has shown that the Amara will fit 95% of CPAP users; a very high proportion that gives potential users the reassurance that this mask will suit them. Simply use the sizing gauge provided in the "Useful Links" box to ensure you get the correct size for you.
Easy to clean and maintain
The Amara wants to make your life easier when you're not wearing the mask, too. The mask itself has just three parts, the frame, the forehead cushion, and the main cushion, which means cleaning is incredibly simple. There are no small parts that can be lost or prove fiddly to remove or apply. The replaceable cushion means you can refresh your mask when required without having the replace the entire mask. Similarly, the headgear and forehead support are also available separately if required.
The Amara's low profile design provides a versatile, lightweight option with the advanced design you would expect from a leading company such as Philips Respironics. The significantly reduced number of individual parts makes it simple to use, and the lightweight, intelligent design makes it a comfortable design that many will quickly adjust to. For those looking for a high-end full face CPAP mask, the Amara should feature prominently on your shortlist.

More difficult to use and clean and not as good a fit as the Comfortfull 2 mask it replaced - Progress? Definitely not! Review by GrantValue Quality Website Information Comfort Ease of Use I will definitely not buy another and am looking for a different manufacturer next time around.(Posted on 26 April 2018)
A big disappointment Review by GrantEase of Use Value Quality Website Information Comfort After years of using - reasonably successfully - the Comfortful 2 mask - I think I went through 5 of them in all in a 10-year period, the Amara has been a great led down. It is neither as comfortable nor as convenient, and removing the mask from the straps each day to wash the mask essentially means refiguring out what lengths the straps should be, as there are no quick connectors on the top part. Though not over-tightened, it leaves my face scrunched up and marked in the morning. As with so many products, I can not understand why a manufacturer of a popular and successful product has to 'muck about with it' or, in this case, drop it altogether.(Posted on 12 April 2018)
