F&P Eson 2 - now even easier to fit and maintain
The original Eson mask introduced Fisher & Paykel's new Roll-Fit technology; a unique cushion design that allowed the mask to roll on the face rather than simply become dislodged or dig into the face. The Eson 2 matures this design, with a new smaller cushion design for reduced skin contact, and a more adaptable cushion to make getting (and keeping) a good seal even easier than before.
As well as this, Fisher & Paykel have worked hard at making the Eson 2 easy to use and maintain. The new highlighted connections make putting the mask together after cleaning much more intuitive, and the headgear now has a blue crown strap to easily identify which way round it goes.
Additionally, the diffuser has been redesigned to make it more durable, and can now be cleaned. You can now benefit from the noise-suppression that a diffuser provides, without having to worry about changing it so frequently. The diffuser is now biult into the plastic cap, making it far less fiddly when removing and attaching it.
The Eson 2 advances every area of the original design
As well as improving the cushion, the forehead support has also been made slimmer to make your field of vision clearer. It retains the same headgear attachment design, that prevents the mask itself touching the skin at any point.
The headgear has been redesigned to spread pressure more evenly over the back of the head rather than just across the top of the next. The new material also allows the mask to be put on by simply stretcing it over the head, rather than removing and attaching the clips. However, should you prefer to use the clips then they have also been redesigned to make them easier to use. The velcro tabs on the Eson 2 are more durable and should be longer-lasting than those on the Eson headgear.

Mask Fit Insurance must be ordered at the same time as the mask in question, and cannot be added retroactively.
Intus Healthcare reserve the right not to honour any orders containing multiple masks purchased with Insurance; please instead choose which mask you feel is most suitable and select the size required as per the sizing gauge (if applicable). Should you subsequently determine a different mask or size is required, you can of course return the first and order the other.

Comfort Ease of Use Value Quality Website InformationI have bought CPAP equipment from various suppliers over the years but I get the best customer support from Intus. This is easily the most effective and quiet nasal mask I’ve owned. The only negative is that the double plastic prong that the headbands attach to is a weak link and it broke. It turns out that this is the only component that the manufacturer doesn’t supply separately. None the less I have shelled out on a full replacement mask as it is so comfortable.(Posted on 3 June 2019)
A really comfortable mask Review by Sally
Ease of Use Value Quality Website Information ComfortHaving tried numerous full face masks, nasal masks and nasal pillows, I find the Eson 2 by far the most comfortable and easy to use. I'm a side-sleeper and I find it's the only mask which doesn't dig into my face or leave marks (except on forehead). It's feels really soft on my face & I get no leaks, though I don't need a very high pressure. My only reservation is that the head strap holder does tend to leave a mark on my forehead each morning but this is easily remedied by sticking a bit of foam rubber under the hard plastic bit that sits on the forehead. Otherwise, this mask is ace and gives me a great night's sleep!(Posted on 14 April 2018)
Its OK - slight design flaw with band? Review by GK
Ease of Use Value Quality Website Information ComfortVery comfortable and a lot quieter than its last model. No need for a filter near the nasal section, resulting in less condensation build up. Comfortable seal. Large nasal size could be a little bigger, maybe?(Posted on 9 March 2018)
However, the strap design is flawed, its cross member too low down, so although the material appears to be softer than its last model, it rubs the ear from behind, and overall, very uncomfortable. Additionally, the top strap is too lose and impossible to tighten, and is entirely superfluous, so the whole mask slips downwards. Luckily, my old strap clips this new mask, so problem solved.
So in short a good mask, let down by a badly designed head strap.
Dont buy if you are a large person Review by Batfastard
Quality Website Information Comfort Ease of Use ValueGood points are seems comfortable, get a good seal and not too obtrusive.(Posted on 28 July 2017)
Bad points. I found my nose sits against the mask and its not like I have a nose like an elephant. I bought the large one but even it is small
Issues with higher pressures Review by gary
Quality Website Information Comfort Ease of Use ValueI found the Eson 2 can not withstand higher pressure and leaks badly irrespective of strap tension. The straps slide easily up and down the back of my head which makes it uncomfortable.(Posted on 28 July 2017)
